Month of May coming to an end.

The month of may is coming to a close. In actual fact, its so fast that Monday is the 1st of June. Now I'm so so worried that I am beginning to think how am I going to face tomorrow as my final year project is far from completion. I dare not say I have completed even half of it and by next week, it'll be less than 2 months.

Yet, I'm still addicted to facebook games such as mafia wars and recently, Restaurant City. I will therefore have to cook up an idea in order to efficiently complete the whole FYP within 2 months.

Anyway, for all those who are reading this blog. Let me introduce you'll to a new song that I am really really loving and I literally play this song over and over again. The name of the song is Second Chance by Florida based band, Shinedown. If you may, please do watch their music video and try to sing along the lyrics provided below. Till then, please be patient for the next post.

"Second Chance"

My eyes are open wide
And by the way, I made it
Through the day
I watched the world outside
By the way, I'm leaving out
Today

I just saw Hayley's comet
She waved
Said why you always running
In place?
Even the man in the
Moon disappeared
Somewhere in the
Stratosphere

[Chorus]
Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance

Please don't cry
One tear for me
I'm not afraid of
What I have to say
This is my one and
Only voice
So listen close, it's
Only for today

I just saw Hayley's comet
She waved
Said why you always running
In place?
Even the man in the
Moon disappeared
Somewhere in the
Stratosphere

[Chorus]
Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance

Here's my chance
This is my chance

Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance

Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance [x2]

A very very tiring day.....

I have always wanted to go to the national library. Well, it is not because it's a great place. Not because its a tourists destination. Then what are the reasons for me wanting to go there. First of all, My advisor, who is assigned for the final year project told me during the mid-point or end of semester presentation that my research is very general and inadequate. She told me I have to show some effort that will enable me to get a second upper or first class. I was actually kinda discouraged and this has left me stranded at the part I'm still at.

Anyway to cut the story short, since the college is more of an IT institution. They do not have any materials that would help me regarding the title I have chosen which is Online Herbal Store. Therefore, i resorted to mostly electronic sources such as e-journals, websites and not even one e-books regarding herbs or traditional medicines. Therefore, to balance everything, I had to exercise my legs and go to the source.

So the two choice I had was to either pay UM library a visit or visit national library. There are pros and for both these choices actually. If i decide to go to UM, I had to get a letter of approval from my college statign the intentions of going to another library. But It would be easier in terms of transport as I'll only need to take the KTM and LRT and it will stop right nearby the university. But I'm not clear if te stop is near to the library or not as it is a very huge campus.

However, if i choose the national library. I do not have to get a letter of approval. Registration can be done by using MyKAD or IC. :D The downside is the location is not public transport friendly. Must take KTM and LRT and proceed with bus RapidKL B114. Alternatively, Bus from Metro Prima Kepong can be used and proceed to take B114 at Titiwangsa LRT / Monorail Station where a bus hub is located.

Anyway i decided to choose the latter library as I find it even more tedious if I decide to go UM library as I'll have to go all the way to APIIT in TPM which will make me half-dead and then go to UM and go through all those processes. So to go back to the title of this post, I got up at 8.00 AM but I felt so sleepy and not in a mood to go. But i still pushed on and I got up from bed at 8.15 AM. I only left my house at 10.20 AM and waited for the "fast" and "efficient" KTM service. Luckily it only arrived 5 minutes later.

Then I dropped at Bank Negara station and walked all the way to the PWTC LRT Station. Passing by the Pizza Hut and McD restaurant really made me instantly hungry. Then took the LRT, surprisingly it arrived when i reached the station. Quite a good start to the day. Then once reached Titiwangsa station, I was quite disoriented by the way the whole system is done. I didn't know where is the bus hub. I saw the bus station opposite the road. But there was no sign telling that the bus hub is that and I decide to go down as I saw a covering underneath. I saw bus B114 passing, i waved, but the person did not stop. Then i felt something is wrong, therefore i asked some passers-by and luckily they told me to go the the rightful place.

Once i crossed the overhead bridge. I waited for the bus. Then i saw a few rapidKL bussed that starts with U such as U8 and U2 stopping. To my left, i suddenly saw a couple checking the table with the bus numbers and their stops. Then I proceed to ask that gentleman and Thank God I asked him as if I did the contrary, I will most definitely wait there for donkey years {Sarcastic}.

Then I waited at the correct place which is further down. Once I boarded the bus, nothing bad happens and everything was smooth sailing. Luckily there was a young-chap with me and he told me slightly that National Library has rented Wisma Sejarah for those who wants to borrow and that the main building is only for Registration and for referencing and it can't be borrowed.

So I proceed to the Main Building and i realised the design and architecture is so very unique and hideous. Are they trying to imitate the Macchu Pichu building. The stairs are awfully narrow and so deserted. At least the Istana Budaya had pyramid inspired shape and it is outstanding and not outlandish like this National Library. I proceed with the registration. Thankfully the personnel working are helpful and I finish the registration quite swiftly. Then I had to leave my bag at the locker. Then I proceed to the Wisma Sejarah. I borrowed 3 books and left and went to the main library to check and see if there are anymore resources worth photo-copying.

But there is one feature I'm grateful they have that is the photocopying feature. But the thing is there is only one photocopy area which is in level 3. But anyway it is still helpful. I ahev to do another trip in gathering more information from seminars and journals. This is because time passed so fast and the last time I checked my watch in the library it was close to 2 PM. Then I left the Library and head the the bus stop. There was no bus-stand but I found a chap standing there, so I gather he is waiting for bus. So i asked him and yahooo!!! he is taking the same bus. So I had a short conversation and we said Goodbye at the final stop.

Then I waited for the LRT. Once on board the LRT, I dunno what went wrong with me. Instead of stopping at Bandaraya station, I dropped at Sultan Ismail Station and when I almost reached the ticket machines, I realised the surroundings looks different, then I realised I made a mistake and i proceed to take te train again to go to the next station. Once I reached Bandaraya station, I felt like wanna try Kyros Kebab and I ordered takeaway at Maju Junction.

Once I have left Maju Junction. I proceed to the KTM station. While waiting for the train, I heard the announcement and the announcement that I fear most finally did come "The train to Rawang is experiencing difficulties and it is scheduled to arrived in another 30 minutes. It is currently at Salak Selatan Station." Haih. It really sickens me. But Well, to burn my time, I played some lame games on handphone and finally it did come. I literally bathed in my sweat as the weather is super hot and luckiuly the air-conditioners was working.

Finally I reached home and ate my late lunch about 4PM which my mom cooked and tasted the Kebab from Kyros Kebab. It didn't tasted that good. Just average. APIIT's Iranian Kebab at level 4 is definitely better as t has better tastes and occasionally have hot and sexy Kazakh chics. haha. Nevertheless, I'm happy this madness is finally over and hopefully the next time I visit national library I'll not spend that long time to reach home. :)
